| The Wildberry Inn, situated on US Route 2 just three miles east of Gorham, NH, lies in the heart of the White Mountains National Forest. In fact, the storied Appalachian Trail crosses our wooded back lot. A mountain stream tumbles into the pond in the back yard where guests like to spend summer afternoons sipping a beverage..or reading a book..or drifting into a daydream choreographed by a whispering breeze and a murmuring waterfall. | |
Some guests meander along the cross country ski trails which are on the
property or amble a quarter of a mile down the North Road. There, the bridge over the Androscoggin
River provides spectacular long views of the Presidential Range's craggy peaks are sometimes
capped with snow while red and orange maples, golden oaks, yellow birches, and
green conifers create the greatest foliage show on earth.
